March 16, 2015 -- DCIN had a short-lived full-service shelter program (see https://www.facebook.com/DCINShelterCats), but when DCIN lost its Shelter Manager, it scaled the program back to mostly cross-posting only. Cross-posting involves adding a photo album for each shelter or rescue with diabetic cats to the DCIN Facebook page (see https://www.facebook.com/DiabeticCatsInNeed/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums) and featuring one or two of those cats every weekday on our Facebook timeline. Depending on circumstances, DCIN also may assist shelters and rescues with blood glucose testing supplies, Lantus or Levemir insulin, and links to online resources.
If you are interested in finding out more about DCIN's shelter/rescue cross-posting, please contact Lisa, DCIN's Senior Shelter Coordinator, at Lisa@dcin.info.
